The 25 best Nordic gifts

Scandinavian versus Nordic gifts

Alright, one small side note before we can start the list.

You may have come across my Scandinavian gift guide before. And now you might be wondering whether this list of Nordic gifts will just include all of the same gifts.

But don’t worry, it doesn’t.

I can’t deny that you may find one or two similar gifts. These are the gifts I loved so much, that I couldn’t resist. Such as the board game Ticket To Ride. But for the most part, you will find completely new gift ideas.

One of my favorite Scandinavian and Nordic gift

And that makes sense. Because even though the terms Nordic countries and Scandinavian countries are often used interchangeably. Technically, that’s incorrect.

Scandinavian countries are

  1. Norway
  2. Sweden
  3. Denmark

The Nordic region or Nordic countries also includes these three countries plus:

  1. Finland
  2. Iceland
  3. The Faroe Islands
  4. Greenland
  5. Åland

Alright, now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s continue to our 25 Nordic gifts!

Norse gifts for large budgets

#1 A trip to a Nordic country

The first gift on this list is also the best Nordic gift; a trip to one (or more) of the Nordic countries!

Someone who loves the Nordic region will never get enough of it. So even if they’ve visited these places a thousand times, they will still love it the thousand and first time.

Plus the who region includes eight different countries, so there will always be a place they haven’t visited before.

There are three ways in which you can gift an awesome trip to a Nordic country.

The first option is by booking a flight through Skyscanner. The second option is best for people who already have a flight to the Nordic region. And that’s to buy a cool tour through Viator. For example, an excursion to see the northern light.

And lastly, the safest way to gift a trip is by buying a Viator gift card (global experiences card) which allows the recipient to pick an excursion him or herself.
